Seaweed for health
Seaweed and health
In the past water was considered as the very source of life. Without water no life and the properties of water associated with rejuvenation and cleansing. Imbalances in the water of your body to cause illnesses like nervous problems, phobias, depression, lethargy, circulatory conditions such as low or high blood pressure, arthritis and other diseases of the joint and certain digestive ailments.
To assist people suffering from these illnesses recommended using food grown in water and the sea like fish, shellfish or seaweed. You can agree or disagree. Some people dispute these claims and call them anecdotic, not proven or insufficient studied. That al life started at the oceans (water), our common origin. As proof that seawater has almost the same proportion of minerals as the human blood.
There is much that has been attributed to seaweed and algae. It has been acknowledged as balanced nourishment, a miraculous healing plant and important detoxifier.
Seaweeds not only contain all of the minerals and trace minerals required for your body’s physiological functions but in colloidal forms. This colloidal form is very important meaning that these minerals have retained their molecular identity while remaining in liquid suspension.
Many marine organisms live in complex habitats exposed to extreme conditions and, in adapting to new environmental surroundings; they produce a wide variety of secondary (biologically active) metabolites, which cannot be found in other organisms. Moreover, considering its great taxonomic diversity, investigation related to the search of new bioactive compounds from the marine environment has seen in almost unlimited field. Marine-based bioactive food ingredients can be derived from many sources, including marine plants, microorganisms, and sponges, all of which contain their own unique set of biomolecules. By educating yourself on as many areas as possible you can make educated decisions and chose primary (or secondary) treatment pathways that have no ulterior motive other than your health/way of live. The simple act of empowering yourself in the decision process can have significant psychological benefits which in turn leads to physiological improvements. Forgotten is that with few exceptions, we are totally at the mercy of this system operating correctly, on its own. We can influence it constructively in very few ways. Most powerfully, we can provide the basic building blocks (nutrients) that enable it to perform as designed. In only a very few ways, compared with all that happens in a cell, we have designed drugs that can intervene constructively in specific reactions or functions. Also, another important aspect for many, the nutritional approach is usually inexpensive, and the drug approach expensive. As a general rule, nutrition (and exercise) should always be the starting point for dealing with any disease. This will most likely correct a vast majority of diseases. It is only after this approach has been tried and failed, that treatment with drugs should be employed. Of course, there will always be obvious exceptions, such as medical emergencies, where conventional emergency procedures will be the safest bet.
Worse drugs very often operate by inter fearing with a number of natural biochemical process within our bodies, such as lowering blood cholesterol by interfering with the production of cholesterol in the liver, or by lowering blood pressure by inter fearing with the reabsorption of water in the kidney. So many of them follow this basic principal of interference with a biochemical process. And, this is often very successful for treat a disease or problem, but it also runs a high risk of negative side-effects by inter fearing with some other process that results in damage elsewhere. In contrast, dietary supplements operate by enhancing existing biochemical processes. Thus, when addressing a particular disease in this manner, the chances are that while the supplement is enhancing the desired process, it is also enhancing some other one that you were not planning for, with a very positive side-effect. Because of this, the risk of negative side effects from the supplement approach to treatment should be far less than that from drugs, and thus such an approach should be far safer.
Colloids are very small in size and are easily absorbed by the body’s cells.
Minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, selenium and zinc to name a few. Magnesium, is required for the activation of more than 300 enzymes in the body and the calcium absorption, iodine in thyroid function, iron in blood oxygen exchange, and chromium in blood sugar regulation. Other vitamins and minerals are required for normal function and structure of the arteries, heart, kidneys, bone, and for the neuromuscular system.
The Use of Nutritional Supplements in the Prevention of Chronic Disease
For the first 5000 years of civilization, humans relied on foods and herbs for medicine. Only in the past 60 years have we forgotten our medicinal "roots" in favor of patent medicines. While pharmaceuticals have their value, we should not forget the well-documented, non-toxic and inexpensive healing properties of whole foods.
The post-war modern lifestyle (e.g. poor choice of foods, less physical activity) resulted in so-called Lifestyle-related diseases. Despite this realization, lifestyle- and obesity-related diseases are still spreading around the world.
A new/modern plague because it affects nearly everone. In fact are these illnesses a biological response to bad food/lifestyle system. The widespread application of some modern food processing technologies contributing to this development. The food industry is a integral part of our modern economy, and influential in political decisions (e.g.nutritional recommendations, agricultural subsidising).
In any known profit-driven economy, health considerations are hardly given a high priority.
Production of cheap foods with a long shelf-life the trend. Whole, fresh foods with a relatively short shelf-life are less profitable to produce and sell. The consumer left with the choice between more expensive but nutritionally superior whole, fresh foods, and the cheap, usually nutritionally inferior processed types of foods. Processed foods are not only cheaper, but more convenient (in both purchasing, storage, and preparation), and more available, along with many nutrition-related health complications.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine our bodies and our selves reflect the natural world we live in.
Being in harmony with the seasons for example increases health and well being. What you do with or to your body affects the way you think and influences you mentally and spiritually.
We dry and powder the seaweeds for easy use. Just add it to your meals like you would do with salt or herb.

The benefits are extensive: increased longevity, enhanced immune functioning, revitalization of the cardiovascular, endocrine, digestive, and nervous systems, and relief from minor aches and pains. Builds healthy blood, increases the veins and hearts contractile force, restores and increases cardiac efficiency, nourishes and prolongs the life of the heart muscle, and encourages rhythmical working of the heart in all its aspects: physical, emotional, and inspirational
